~Word for the Year~

This is the Word for Fish Fish this year.

In Japan, every year end, they will have a 'Kanji word' to represent their life for that whole year. This morning, TV talked about this topic.

The word fish fish chose, '新', pronounce as 'Shin'. Literally means 'NEW'. Yah, a lot of new things happened in my life this year.

A few of these...

A new family in my family. :)
A new baby was born. :D
A new place I visited. :P
... A new life I have to start without someone anymore ...

Hmm... life, is really a box of chocolate.

So, how about your 'Word of the Year'? :)

Fish fish,

"Old things cannot be replaced with new ones" is because old things have become memories. Memories is part of our life but so is the future. Although the future is filled with uncertainty, it also has hope and renewal for oneself. Every new year, we look for memories that remind us of the good times but also live ahead for our dream. We have been told that our dream can become a reality so I will give you back this advice too, hoping that while keeping your memory, you also look forward to a new day cause there is always others who are also waiting to be part of your new things. The word for me is renew, saikai suru.

Old things cannot be replaced with New Ones,
Cause Old things never wait but New ones will,
New ones will wait for us to appreciate them ANEW.

Phan: Nice to c ur 1st comment with 'Phan'. :P Heee... And I like the comment. Yap, the old ones never gone away from my memories, but I'm chasing for my new dreams too. Saikai... nice one. A bit similar with my 'Shin'. ;)

Pinkcocoa and Fish fish,

Thank you for liking the word and also having me here. I just spoke of such great meanings for my word "renew" and it is ruined by one incident yesterday.

Want to know the incident? If you want to, feel free to read on.

Mom wanted to clear her quilty conscience with grandpa who is from her previous marriage. To do that, she asked us to give money to grandpa for our own good. As we are so tight with money for our business, we asked mom to help out too. She was unwilling as she claimed that she is already married to the present husband. I suggested that we save money from our contribution to the Christmas dinner and Mom's presents, and use that to give to Grandpa. That makes Mom really angry. Cause now she is saying that it is disrespectful of me to trade dinner and presents for cash to grandpa. She calls me of being odd and seeding conflict among family members. I think she is going to disown me for not clearing her guilty conscience. Both she and her present husband warn me not to ever ever suggest such thing again or being this disrespectful to them. The present husband also happens to dump his first wife and daughter and let them struggle by themselves for more than 25 years before he finally divorced her. Did I do them wrong somewhere?

Sorry to drop this on your site fish fish. I misused your site. Gomen nii.

Pinkcocoa: Dear... hv u thought of ur 'Word for the year"? fish fish wants to know. :P

Phan: Oh dear... *HUGS* I dun really know what to say to comfort you. Family matter is the most complicated thing to deal with. Even more sensitive sometimes when it is concerning the $$$. I know that very much, as I hv a lot of past experience on that. Just imagine my family hv to find a place to move out in the middle of nite when I was only in primary... Long time ago story. See... I survive well today. It's like a Chinese saying "Every family has a difficult to read bible". To unknot the bell, u need the person who knotted it. Maybe u can tell ur mum that for ur grandpa case. Oops... fish fish's keypo suggestion. I hope u do feel better after saying it here. You are very welcome to occupy this place as much as u can, as long as u dun put porn things inside. Kekeke... I know u won't. :P *HUGS* again...

forgot to add this comment justnow. Aiya, so sad to hear about your sad story about having to move in the middle of night! Sometimes the worst enemies might just be the one who seem closest to you.

This chinese proverbs is just so true: Jia jia you beng nan nian de jing. Family feud. *sigh*

Oh, i hope you dont mind me replying to Phan here. :p

hey Phan
Bit of a late reply here :p Hope you are feeling much much better now with your hunny hubby's full support ;-) I also dont really know what to say too because family matters are the hardest of all problems to deal with! Sometimes parents can put their children into difficult position without much consideration.

Here's my 2 cents worth. No offence, ya?
Maybe your mum feels shameful to face your grandpa yet she cares about him that's why she's asking or maybe remind you kids to look after him? At the same time, she's hoping you would draw a clear line between them and your grandpa.

Aiya. I think I am typing babytalk here (goo goo ga ga.) Just dont take it seriously ;-) Things will slowly work out. Dont rush and give it time! *hugssss*
