Hooters - a different place to eat

*naughty smile* Those of you in U.S. probably are Oolala~~~ing now with the title.

Oh yes, I am going to introduce something unique in U.S. Something that will not likely be seen in Malaysia. They do have one in Singapore's Clark Quay.

For those of you that are outside U.S., if you have no idea what I am talking, read further down. ;)

Tralala~~~ this is what I am talking.

HOOTERS.

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket
All the staffs have great smiles...

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket
... and sexy firm round butts.

If you think this place is strictly for the adults, then you are so wrong.

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket
This is 100% a franchise family restaurant!! See the kids in the picture? They are the proof.

Want to read more about Hooters, you can always do that in wikipedia's site.

I went on Saturday. Coincidently, there was buy 10 get 10 free promotion. Very good deal. I tried the simple battered wings. It was okay.

Hmmm... next time I'll make sure I try their signature Buffalo wings. I heard they are good. Are they?

Oh yes married guys and papas, want to ooze beautiful girls in public legally with your wife and kids around? This will be a good option. Tee hee hee...

It's strawberry time!

I went to farmers' market last Saturday. The spring breeze was so strong, everything just felt so bright and wonderful.

Among them, I totally fell in love with one of the spring thing.

STRAWBERRY!!

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket
Oolala~~~ tray by tray of fresh ripe strawberries were waiting for people to buy them.

All the stalls were "begging" us to taste the strawberries for FREE!! They all tasted great and CHEAP!

I wish I could buy more but I only have one stomach.

Mmmm~~~ Sweet juicy red strawberries... the perfect thing to start a good spring. ;)

Bruegger's Bagels - Truly Good ;)

This is such a busy week for me. I am not lazy, I just don't have the time for it. Next week, blogging will be back to normal, hopefully.

Today, I want to share a good lunch with you all. Simple but great.

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket
I went to eat lunch with a friend. We decided to go to Bruegger's Bagels.

It is actually pretty near to my house. Ironically, a foodie like me never get a chance to go there although I have heard a few good reviews about it. So, I was truly thrilled to agree this place when my friend suggested it.

We decided to share our lunch. :P

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket
One western softwich. Half was mine. ^_^

This square bagel-like sesame sandwich was big, soft and cutie square.

The filling was a generous combination of egg, roasted red peppers, green peppers, red onions, cheddar cheese, bacon and chipotle sauce.

Mmmm~~~ yum yum~~~ definitely a great thing for lunch.

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket
A lunch in a bagel's shop will not be perfect without their signature bagel!

We decided to get a smoked salmon in rosemary olive oil bagel. Fresh from the oven when I ordered it! Lucky~~~

The beautiful layer included smoked salmon, plain cream cheese, tomato, red onions and capers.

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket
Boolala~~~ irresistible!!

Crunchy and melty cold filling with crispy and chewy hot bagel - such a sinfully good blending.

I love the accent of capers in it.

Try it, you will love it too. *slurp*

My 1st Bisque Art ;)

Art was one of my weakest subject when I was a student. Even until today, I am still the so call "non-artistic" fish fish. Sad but true.

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket
Somehow, crazy enough, I went to a Bisque Art to challenge this weakness of mine.

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket
Well, Melissa came all the way from Japan to pay me a short visit. Coincidently, Tristan was going for a pottery painting with a group of people. We decided to join.

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket
These girls were fast in choosing and making their decision. (Look at Melissa who was still looking around for the write piece to paint. LOL)

After much pondering around like Melissa, I decided to draw on something easy and flat - a bowl. :P

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket
Melissa and her art piece - cute pair of geta. ^_^

After 2 hrs of silent full concentration on my painting...

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket
Fish Fish's fish!! was born.

This was before the high-heat and shining.

After a week...

Arttralalala~~~

^_^ Geeee... it actually turned quite cute!! For the 1st time, I was actually proud of my art piece. Tee hee hee... my pioneer!! I like it.

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket
I know, fish does not have beautiful lashes, but this one is special because it is Fish Fish's fish. :P

The one and only fish by Fish Fish.

Ok, please let my nose high high for once, tell me you like it too. Thank you~~~ *_*

A look at San Francisco (1)

San Francisco are one of those few cities that you can go around without having a car.

I didn't like its night, but I was impressed with its morning. ^_^

Now, let me give you a short tour with my pictures...

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket
Rows of buildings on both sides of long straight streets was my first impression on it.

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket
Some of these streets are actually steep rolling hills. This pictures show San Francisco cable car system in operation. It is the world's last permanently operational manually-operated cable car system, and is now an icon of the city of San Francisco.

Their low speed, small service area and premium fares for single rides make these cable cars primarily a tourist attraction.

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket
Look like a drawing, don't you think so? ;)

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket
If you ask those who live in San Francisco, they will tell you one of the reason they love this city is because of the Victorian buildings.

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket
Even the more modern buildings in this city are old if compared to L.A.

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket
"Wooden" building. Ha! These are actually wooden tiles coating the building. Some of the tiles have peeled off.

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket
It does not matter what type of buildings, you will see Rainbow Flags here and there.

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket
I was really amazed with the parking skill of residents in San Francisco. Parking you car nicely on such a steep slope definitely not an easy work for me.

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket
Imagine walking up and down this stair everyday, I am sure I will burnt off all my calories in one year. :P

I wish I could have a big bowling ball and rolled those car down like the pins. Tee hee hee...

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket
Staying in one of these historical hotels must be very expensive. Hehe... fish fish don't even dare to think about it now. Maybe when I start to earn a good fortune. :P

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket
Strangely, I enjoyed looking up the wall of these buildings. They were such attractions for me.

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket
Oh yes, such a city will not complete without a Chinatown!

In fact, San Francisco's Chinatown is one of U.S.'s largest Chinatowns. It is also the oldest Chinatown, established in 1850. Malaysia is just a toddler compare to this age. Woolala~~~

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket
Kongsi building - this is so Chinese.

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket
Fresh market street. This is very Chinese too.

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket
"Nicely decoreated" vehicle, this is not Chinese.

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket
Errrrr... big hunk sitting down reading newspaper while begging for dollar? You tell me this is what style.

All these were found easily in San Francisco's Chinatown. ;)

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket
Bought some Chinese BBQ pork ribs.

No good. Too hard and sweet.

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket
Luckily, there was another totally different neighbourhood next to Chinatown.

Little ITALY!! See the flag on the pod? This is a good sign to tell you that you are in the area.

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket
Very different from Chinatown. It was a quiet and relaxing morning. I enjoyed the atmosphere.

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket
We decided to get our proper breakfast in this silent neighbourhood. We bought a pack of freshly sliced Prosciutto di Parma and a rustic roll from one of the Italian grocery and started to have our breakfast outside the stores. :P

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket
The Prosciutto was awesome. Wrap a few of these thin layers around the roll...

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket
... and pop inside your mouth just like this Zhi Lian Kuang Mr. Food Guide.

Mmmm~~~ the way how the fat of the prosciutto slowly melted inside my mouth was sinfully irresistible.

It went great with the roll. Yum Yum~~~

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket
We finished our simple yet fantastic breakfast with cappucino (mine was decaf :P)...

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket
... and a great cannoli.

Truly enjoyed that creamy ricotta cheese with dark chocolate inside. This little tube tasted as good as its look.

Oh~~~ this was such the right way to start a great morning in this unique city. ;)

Shocking Virginia Tech Shootings

Virginia Tech Shootings.

33 were dead. Including the killer who shot himself. Killer identity not yet identified.

29 wounded.

To get such a shocking news on a Blue Monday...

I am sure many people will think like me, is buying a gun easily really something necessary in this country?

My deepest sympathies to the families of the victims.

Naia- The Best Gelato

Geeee... seem like I am neglecting my blog a lot this week. I admit. :P

The truth it, beside busy with my work, I was crazy with my online games. Neopets.

Yesterday, it was one of my most exciting moment on this Online Game Site. I found the Wu Gong Mi Ji for it!! Woohoo~~~ the only thing now, I need to control myself not to overdo it. Or else I will Zhou Huo Ru Mo. Like yesterday, I slept at 5 am!! just to read the Mi Ji. -_-"""

Ended up today I went to work late and finished my work at 9pm.

Ok, enough for my nonsense talk.

XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX

Today, I will go back to continue my long delayed posts way back to 3 months ago stopped at arrival in San Francisco. :P

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket
One place I have always wanted to have a look if I go to San Francisco one day - The Castro.

Yeah! I finally made it.

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket
The Rainbow is closely related to the pride of what is famous in this area.

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket
Tralala~~~ Gay Pride.

Yap, "The Castro" denotes mainly the predominantly gay-oriented commercial district on Castro Street and 18th Street.

We could see this type of advertisement everywhere.

It was very kind of Mr. Food Guide to go there with me although it has been a hard task for him to do so.

Walking on the street with him made me realised why it was quite hard for him. Guys that past us by, neither them looked at me. Their eyes were on him.

Geee... usually I don't like people look at me, but that night I almost wanted to shout at them, "Hello~~~ I don't grow up by eating glass ok?" But then, I felt so secure that night walking on the dark street. Ha! I was protecting a guy!! by just stand next to him.

It was a cold rainy winter night. We didn't stay up for a long time.

There were quite a number of shops, but nothing much to me...

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket
...except this one.

Naia.

I was so glad I didn't give it a pass because of the empty-looking shop. We were the only cusmoters at that moment.

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket
The staff was a very friendly young lady. Despite of my greediness, she let me tasted at least 10 flavours before I made my decision. She was more than happy to let me try one by one slowly. Great service.

^_^ We came to a conclusion to choose a chocolate gelato for a chocoholic fish...

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket
... and a Persimmon Gelato that both of us agreed was one of the best.

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket
Oolala~~~ I was sooooo loving it!!!

I swear if Naia is available in this area, I will take all the effort just to go there for a good ice cream. It will be my weekly visiting place.

The flavour was Natural. The texture was Melty and Creamy and So Fine. Nothing artificial, you just know it once you put it into your mouth.

For a person who is very particular on her food to say this was her best ice cream, it really meant something. Be sure to eat it quickly as it melts quickly.

Go to read "About Naia". I totally agree with what written in it. It is just as described.

I am sure Mr. Food Guide do agree the gelato, especially the Persimmon Gelato was Fung-elatis-cally good. Hor?

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket
-_-""" It was quite late, Mr. Food Guide was craving for his 6th cup of coffee for the day, so he ordered one espresson too from the shop. I am really amazed on his tolerancy on coffee. In Japan, some people use coffee for dieting. Hehe, I wonder was he doing the same thing too? :P

Don't worry, you don't have big big tummy.

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket
The Gay Pride is sure standing high in The Castro.

I was glad to be there. The Gelato made my memory on the Castro such a precious one.

"Fish Fish, look after me, ok?" Hahaha... I still remember what he said to me on that night.
